Principled Pragmatism

Principle (ˈprinsəpəl) – a fundamental truth or proposition that serves as the foundation for a system of belief or behavior or for a chain of reasoning.

Pragmatism (ˈprag-mə-ˌti-zəm ) – an approach that assesses the truth of meaning of theories or beliefs in terms of the success of their practical application

My campaign platform is multi-faceted.  In sum, I am not a single issue candidate – nor should I be.  My thinking is guided by certain principles that emanate from our Declaration of Independence (namely that everyone is equal, everyone is entitled to natural rights, and that the citizenry is put in charge of elected officials and agencies.). Beyond those principles, my thinking is guided by pragmatism.  I look at the problems of the day, examine the argument and evidence surrounding those problems, and choose to make the best decision to solve that problem.  This is the nature of the thinking that I offer to serve you with.
